No two people react to pain in the same way. We all experience pain according to our individual emotional, cultural, and physical make-up. There is no simple relationship between the source of a sensation of pain and the amount of pain an individual experiences.

Acute pain from an illness, injury, or surgery is usually short lived and can usually be relieved with medication, heat, cold, or just rest. Chronic pain is something else, it is an entity of its own. It eats away at the quality and value of human life. For people who find themselves living in constant pain they can have pain so great that they can no longer function or they must stop working, they cannot get around and socialize or even take care of themselves.

Chronic pain sufferers characteristically endure some or all of the following feelings and conditions: hopelessness, depression, uselessness, hostility, anxiety and many more. They are often alienated from friends or family who sometimes lose their patience to deal with chronic pain complaints. They are frequently exhausted monetarily as well as emotionally by the search for medical relief. Many times surgical procedures undertaken to relieve pain only serve to increase it. Chronic-pain sufferers may become addicted to drugs to help control their pain, and then find that the drugs don't even work after a while.

The stress of chronic pain can also cause problems with breathing, digestion, blood pressure, heart and kidneys. Chronic pain sometimes develops after a specific illness or injury, continuing long after any identifiable physical cause can be found. During periods of illness or recovery from injury, patients sometimes learn to express suffering of a nonphysical nature in terms of physical pain.

The fact that the ways in which we suffer are to some extent learned doesn't mean we want to suffer or that our pain is "all in our heads" and without physical cause. Nevertheless, some people are incapacitated by conditions that others are able to accept and live with, even though they have some amount of constant pain.

For me, I broke my knee cap in 1989 and have to date refused a knee replacement that the doctors insist I need. Now they may be correct that I need that surgery but I decided to go another route. I consistently use mind over matter techniques and the pain is often absent or minimal and yes I work out daily!

The ways we learn to experience pain and cope with pain are related to the ways we function in the world in general. A child who experiences an extended illness, for example, may have his or her feelings of dependence and sickliness unconsciously reinforced by family and friends. Sometimes being in pain is the only way to get love and support from others. I had a 75 year old woman with nerve ending pain from what she described as "having them buried wrong after a mastectomy." After completing hypnosis and now pain free she wanted her pain back! She was not happy to simply have to travel around the country with her husband in their Winnebago! In other situations, pain can provide a way out of life's problems. Thus, the "problem" of pain may in fact be a "solution" to some other problem. A person who hates their job but cannot give it up gracefully can retire due to a physical pain condition. If a person doesn't find satisfaction or a sense of worth from their life, being a chronic invalid can seem like an acceptable alternative. Some people believe that they deserve to suffer. They accept pain as a purifying punishment for their real or imaged failings.

Sometimes we may involve ourselves in pain games; we don't feel well, so we manipulate others into doing our work or looking after us, or just leaving us alone. Some people find a meaning for their lives in challenging the medical world to diagnose and treat their pain. Other times, we make our own pain traps. We give up as soon as we feel any pain, putting ourselves to bed and waiting for it to go away. Inactivity leads to muscle degeneration, itself a source of continuing pain and current studies support the idea that we need to keep moving our bodies even when in pain.

Still other times I have found patients that eliminate and minimize their angers, frustrations upsets and inner turmoil and hence release the normal chemical flow necessary to feel "good" and pain dissipates. Also, it is well known that people who have had limbs missing often report feeling the pain of their existence. The body remembers pain and when the thoughts, mind, are weakened the pain will return to the same place in the body, as it remembers the familiarity of the pain. I have also find it to be true that on "good" days, patient's pain is decreased. Hence, through Hypnotizing individuals and teaching them relaxation techniques they decrease the inflammations in their bodies and in turn decrease their pain and often rid themselves of pain permanently and hence they have many more "good" days.

If our mind plays a large role in determining how we experience pain, it can also help us overcome it. After all, studies show that we only use 10% of our brain....HMMMM....I'd like to know what the other 90% is doing? Evidence from studies, including recent studies on the effectiveness of placebos, shows us the body's own healing capacities. The power of our minds to affect our experience of pain appears to be vast. Together, mind and body can reduce suffering.

So how does the mind help the body relieve pain? By triggering the release of the body's natural painkiller. Called endorphins - literally, "morphine within", these complex substances affect the body very much like a narcotic. By "talking" to our bodies, we can learn to control endorphin release, easing pain without the side effects of powerful human made drugs. This inner dialogue also contacts the autonomic nervous system. Which controls such involuntary functions as heart rate and digestion and plays a critical role in the relief of chronic pain.

Researchers and practitioners of pain control point out how important the way we perceive and interpret pain are in determining our experience of its intensity and location. But, perhaps more important, is that it can give us valuable clues as to how we, as Hypnotist, can help our patients relieve pain.

Dr. John Biesler, director of the Biesler Center for Allied Therapeutics in Los Angeles and author of FREE YOURSELF FROM PAIN described the case of John, a 52 year old cardiologist, who lived with constant, agonizing low back pain following treatment for rectal cancer. The doctor arrived at the Center contemplating suicide. He was able to describe his pain with terrible vividness, likening it to a dog chewing on his spine. Biesler convinced John to make contact with the dog, to talk to it, to find out why it was chewing his spine and, somehow, to make it stop. After several sessions of getting John to relax, they got in contact with the dog. Then John started talking to it - and the dog talked back. The dog said John never really wanted to be a doctor on the first place; he wanted to be an architect, but his mother had pressured him into medical school.

As a result, his resentment was directed at his mother, his colleagues and his patients. It was also directed inward, the dog said, and had contributed to the development of his cancer (deep seated resentment) and his low back pain(concern of financial security). The dog told John he was a good doctor. "It may not be the course you wanted, but it's time you recognized how good you are at what you do. When you stop being so resentful and start accepting yourself, I'll stop chewing on your spine." These insights were accompanied by an immediate easing of the pain and during the following weeks it slowly subsided.

There are many other case studies of the miracle of pain relief, I get to see it everyday! I had a 42 year old woman who consistently had migraine headaches. She spent lots of time in her doctor's office and taking medications that ultimately did not relieve her pain. Through my healing process she learned to say "NO!" and when that took place the migraines disappeared.

Each human is an individual and must look at their own situation. I believe that once a patient knows the underlying causation of an ailment, healing begins. In my studies and private practice I have witnessed "miracles." People who want to be will and they will find away to communicate with their pain and release it and they are then provided with deep insights for their own personal healing and growth.

Until next time. "BEE" Well, Dr. Karen Frank aka The Bumble Bee Lady

Karen Frank holds a Docotrate degree in Metaphysics and is the Founder and President of Dr. Karen Frank's Center for Holistic Wellness and Healing Hypno-Harmonics, a CD series for self hypnosis. Without the right procedure most will fail with their goals. Here Im going to tell you a few helpful self hypnosis tips.

Tip #1

What do you want to archive with your self hypnosis? Try to always be clear about your goals and write them down before you begin the hypnosis. Writing down exactly what you want to change or archive can really help your mind to comprehend your goals and they will become more realistic. Try to keep it short and easy at first, and only one or two goals per session will help you focus.

Tip #2

At what time do you perform your self hypnosis? Just doing it at random times will not help you very much. Self hypnosis is best practised in the morning because then it will set you up for the day. This will keep you focused the whole day on your goals and you have a lot better chance of succeeding. Doing it immediately when you wake up is not good because you might fall back into sleep. Its better to shower and have your breakfast first.

Tip #3

When you are done with your self hypnosis session, never get up immediately. You should come back slowly and keep your eyes closed for 2-3 minutes after the session. Feel your body slowly get more and more awake before you get completely awake. Its good to give it 5-10 minutes in the wakeup phase.

Hope these self hypnosis help tips have been useful and if you like it I will keep writing more of these. Our Jeep had some current problem with something called a freeze plug so after talking with a lot of mechanics we came to the conclusion that it was time to get something else. We went to a Toyota lot in Savannah and in the used lot they had a 2 year old PT Cruiser. We had seen a few around our home town occasionally and liked the way they looked and drove. That afternoon we returned home in our new PT Cruiser and low and behold we started seeing them all over town.

It's like when you were a kid and it was your Birthday. As soon as that first card showed up in the mail you started getting them from everybody. When we are kids very seldom do we think about things like bills. We think about Birthday cards and we start to get a lot of them at a time. A lot of adults are always thinking that they have too many bills or not enough money and that is what is being attracted to them because that is what they are thinking about the most.

With that PT Cruiser that my wife and I bought what we also did was to buy that thought and now we were seeing it everywhere. We bring in to our lives what we think about most. Like the saying that trouble comes in 3's all we are doing is attracting all those troubles into our lives. I used to have all my salespeople keep a funny picture on their desk that they could use as a switch. When they were feeling down they would flip over the picture.

There is a practice called NLP which will help a lot of people with this. Do Not always concentrate on the money you owe and the bills instead replace this picture with a picture of you receiving money in the mail. If you right foot hurts then only concentrate of the left foot that doesn't hurt. If you are having a bad hair day then wear a nice hat.

When I was a kid I hated wearing a pair of Jeans that had holes in them but nowadays people are actually paying more for pants with holes in them. Everything is just some ones perspective. If you open up a container of butter in you fridge and its green then you probably will not be using this butter but what if all butter were green? We were all brought up with Yellow butter and this is the only reason we are programmed to only use butter that is yellow. Our programming can always be changed.

Like the famous book "Think And Grow Rich" it all boils down to the way we think about certain things. Our thought can always be changed. Starting now lets all start focusing on the positive things in our lives. Think good things and you will see more good things following.

Jeffrey A. Solochek grew up in WhiteFish Bay, Wisconsin but now resides in Brunswick, Georgia. Procrastination, which Wikipedia defines as "a type of behavior which is characterized by deferment of actions or tasks to a later time", occurs when we constantly put away something for some indefinite 'tomorrow', rather than tackle it and finish it off today itself.

There are things like visiting the physician or dentist, going to the bank, filing Income Tax returns, paying bills and so on, that we know are important to finish on time, but simply do not feel like getting done. Why does procrastination take place and what is a way to stop this from negatively affecting our lives?

The pain-pleasure phenomenon

Sigmund Freud was the first to note that we humans solidly base all our behavior patterns on the pain-pleasure phenomenon. We all try to gain the maximum pleasure in our lives and avoid all instances and events that cause pain or discomfort of some kind, either physical or psychological. He discovered further, that we refrain from completing a task because we view it as painful to us in some way.

This is what happens with procrastination too. Though we understand fully well that putting the work off would only lead to more inconvenience and possibly even embarrassment, we go ahead and do just that!

So what is the permanent solution for this procrastination issue? How do we deal with it? One method to tackle this problem is to get to the task immediately and take breaks in between. If , for instance, a student does not like to study a particular subject, he could get to studying just that subject and give himself a short, five-minute break after, say, about half an hour of study. Of course, he forces himself to study, but also get the much-required break to get rid of the tedium. He would only have to stay focused on the subject for that half hour that he works on it. Setting this kind of time-table lets him ease up a little and also finish the task at hand more quickly and efficiently.

In case your procrastinating tendency occurs due to some fear (such as that of visiting the dentist), you will have to tackle it with much more gusto. It will need a good deal of willpower from your side to break away from those shackles and free yourself of your compulsive behavior. Usually, handling that fear gradually, little by little, helps you get out of the put-it-off-forever tendency!

How hypnosis can help with procrastination

Did you know hypnosis can work wonders on procrastination? Well, a qualified and competent Hypnotherapist can reach deep down to the very root of your problem, analyze it and tell you exactly how to rid yourself of it. A hypnotherapist works by making your subconscious mind more open and more receptive to positive suggestions. He tries to reduce the pain, dislike or fear factor that you associate with that particular task.

In ensuing sessions, he systematically works on the reaction till it altogether dissolves from your system. Very soon, you will find yourself shedding your anxiety and developing a relaxed attitude each time you think of the task. Why, you might even come to like it and do it quite readily in just a few more days' time!

If you have been desperately trying to get a negative habit out and nothing seems to work in spite of your best efforts, do give hypnosis a try. It does truly work like magic!

Saipriya Viswanathan is the publisher and editor of Inner Power Positive, a website that focuses on positive thinking as a way of life. Flames of the campfire reach up, as if grasping for the dark canopy of spreading tree limbs.

Low noises come from the periphery of the camp. The night stirring creatures tread the forest floor, or amble about on their perches in the trees. The fire hisses and crackles; a piece of wood splits in the heated pit and tumbles to lie up against the stone circle containing the blaze.

Down the slope, a small creek whispers up against the shallow embankment, then winds a course away from the camp.

The old folding chair creaks as I settle down into it, put my feet up on the footstool close to the fire. Firefly sparks of rust-orange, leap from the sheets of flame. They dance in the smoke before winking out in mid-flight.

The air is crisp, with a bite to it. I lean back in my chair, tilt my head up and gaze at the patch of black, black sky, pierced with glitters of pinpricked light. I pull in a breath, heady with the perfumes of wood smoke, evergreen, loam, and the early autumn night.

Small stones and the dry fallen pine needles crunch in the shadows of my fire. I turn to the sound. Behind me, two spots of light bob in the dark and move from side to side. Then, I make out the contrasts of white and black; tan and gray. Two tiny, delicate paws pad out and stop at the fringe of light. The glowing spots blink; then the raccoon lowers its chubby back end to the forest floor and quietly stares at me. It begins to idly work its tiny front paws back and forth in the dirt and needles.

I smile. High above, the trees drag to and fro in the wind; the shuddering of their limbs like a low moan. The blinking eyes follow my gaze upward, then veer off to the side; exploring the shadowed depths of the campground. Clever paws mindlessly pick at the earth.

The raccoon dips its head up and down, sniffing in the direction of the iron storage box. Shuffling in the rim of the shadows, the forest bandit waddles over to the iron box.

Stretching up on her hind legs, she inspects the box. Her paws move quickly over the doors of the box, then linger on the latch. And as if performing a magic trick, the paws move furiously on the latch, prying and lifting; a blur of movement; a slight of paw. But the mechanism does not give way, and clearly this frustrates her.

She then trundles over to me. She stops what she feels is a safe distance from me, sits up, and stares impatiently. She is sending mental pictures to me.

I watch the fire and the raccoon, then reach into my coat pocket and fish out an apple. From another pocket I withdraw a pocket knife. Placing them on the footstool, I cut the apple into four slices. I sample one of the pieces and she cautiously reaches out to me with her delicate front paws. I grab a slice of the apple and offer it to her. She extends her forelegs, and then curls her paws around the offering; a brush of fur and nail on my fingers, then quickly gone.

Fingering the treasure in her paws, she regards me for a quiet moment, then lowers herself to the ground. She stuffs the slice of apple into her mouth, turns, and toddles away, toward the stream.

I watch her retreat, until she and the shadows become one.

Somewhere in the dark, someone is softly playing a guitar. In another corner of dark, I can hear someone chopping wood. Faint snatches of conversation twist in the wind and carry over to me.

I stare back into the flames and listen to the snapping discourse of burning wood. It is getting chillier by the moment.

Overhead, I hear the high piping squeak of a bat, as it dodges in and out of the illumination from the blaze: grabbing a meal on the wing.

I finish the apple and decide to call it a night. At the entrance of my tent, I take my shoes off, shake them free of debris and place them inside. In the tent, I change clothes quickly and slip into my sleeping bag.

As the warmth from my body heats up the confines of the bag, the smells of wood smoke and pine waft up from the flannel lining, and from my hair and skin. The air is cold on my face and I snuggle deeper in.

I rise to the songs of a multitude of birds; in the trees above my tent, on boulders that line the campground, on wooden rails that front the meadow to the west. After dressing in jeans and a sweatshirt, I step outside and glance through the trees, into the meadow.

Though the columns of light that pierce through the forested valley are warm, it is still cool in the shadows and I prepare to make a fire. I have only the weekend here to savor the out of doors. But I have those two days well planned. I am looking forward to my hike to Indian Caves, and Mirror Lake.

And that is just the start. Clayton is a legal "fixer," a legal kind-of janitor that cleans up people's messes so that their attorney's don't have to. He's special counsel to one of the most well known law firms in the world, and one of their star litigators requires some clean up work.

Tom Wilkinson plays Arthur, the litigator known for taking no prisoners. He's been working for six years on a class action law suit brought against U-North, a large agrichemical company that may or may not have caused the deaths of hundreds of people due to a pesticide. Wilkinson is manic-depressive and suddenly snaps. Viewers are left to wonder whether it was because he went off his meds or he grew a conscious.

Tilda Swinton plays U-North's chief counsel, Karen, a career-minded woman who could probably be diagnosed with Obsessive Compulsive Disorder. She is faced with numerous moral dilemmas, as many of the characters are, and put events into play that make for an exciting drama/thriller at the movies.

Clooney's Clayton is like that down-on-his luck private eye. The guy makes some poor choices, but you're still pulling for him because he's one of the good guys. Or is he?

"Michael Clayton" has the feel of a John Grisham novel without the courtroom, crossed with a Michael Mann film. It's a rare thing these days to find an intelligent thriller that doesn't rely on action scenes and special effects, but this one has plenty of drama and tension thanks to the performances by all of the actors involved. Clooney shows us again why he deserves to be a movie star with this film. Tilda Swinton is so tightly wound that when she starts to unravel, she takes the audience along with her. And Sydney Pollack is just fun to watch in front of the camera instead of behind it.

Audiences looking for action and thrills won't find them in "Michael Clayton," but fans of the legal/political dramas of the 1970s and 80s will find lots to like.

Bottom line: Go See It.

Sideshow Movie Collectibles
?p=26title={text}" Rel="nofollow" Title="add To wists"
?p=26" Rel="nofollow" Title="add To furl"
?p=24" Rel="nofollow" Title="add To squidoo"
?p=32title=season+1+ +episode+12" Rel="nofollow" Title="add To stumble Upon"
<a href="http://watchdamages.com/?p=16" title="Season 1 - Book Review

Ancient secrets are uncovered and little by little the truth is revealed. If you have ever had a moment of wonder about reincarnation, about seeming to instantly know someone youve just met, I give you my highest recommendation for M.J. Roses book, The Reincarnationist. It will call to you to read its pages until youve frantically gotten to the last.

Josh Ryder survives a bombs explosion only to become haunted by flashes of someone elses life. These flashes hit him as vividly as memories but seduce him with a desperate need for knowledge, a need to know just who lived these memories. After exhausting every medical approach to his turmoil, Josh discovers the Phoenix Foundation a research facility that scientifically documents cases of past life experiences in children. Josh becomes an understudy and soon understands that the flashes he goes through are experiences from his own past lives. Desperate to understand the feelings of despair and urgency he feels regarding those in his previous lives, he ends up in Rome, at the heart of his memories settings. There he meets Professor Gabriella Chase who has just made a remarkable archaeological discovery the tomb of a Vestal Virgin, buried alive in approximately the year 390 A.D. So how does Josh know that the tomb is the resting place of a woman named Sabina, and that she was put to death for breaking her vow of celibacy? His sense of urgency to understand grows stronger and more intense with every clue he uncovers. There is something much greater at risk than his sanity though. In her death, Sabina held tight to a treasure that is said to unlock the mysteries of reincarnation, and it was stolen. Ironically, the cost of the treasure is valued in human lives.

The Reincarnationist is superbly written. It is fresh and compelling, creative and intellectual. This novel is a delightful mix of psychological thriller, suspense, and paranormal, and the writing is mesmerizing in its own right. With a plot that flows around the world and through a millennium of time, the excitement doesnt stop until the book is reluctantly closed and completed. With sophistication and class, M.J. Rose offers a novel to be remembered.

The Reincarnationist

by M.J. It opens people's minds to suggestions which others can use. Conversational hypnosis is the skill of putting people into a hypnotic trance with your words, without notice. A businessman controlling that skill can increase his or her profits tremendously. Also, mastering that skill can create a stream of loyal customers who return over and over to the same business to make their purchases.

Conversational hypnosis helps even before the customer enters the store. This type of hypnosis is not limited to spoken words. Written words affect people about the same as spoken words, and conversational hypnosis techniques can be used in print ads and newspaper ads. Furthermore, a TV commercial, with someone who is speaking and using proper conversational hypnosis techniques, can easily generate a huge flow of customers into a business with only a small effort and investment.

When the potential customer is already in your business, there is nothing easier than converting that potential customer into a real customer, all with conversational hypnosis Going to that person and saying the right words will seed the idea of purchasing in the mind of the visitor in the business, and the cash register will definitely have some work to do by the time hypnosis worked on that customer.

Loyalty is very important for all businesses. Without loyalty, business owners would have a very hard time making any money. Luckily for them, conversational hypnosis does much more than making people purchase. It also convinces customers that they are doing you a favor by purchasing, so they feel good about it. A good feeling is everything in the business world. A happy customer will tell his friends, and applying conversational hypnosis techniques on the friends will bring more friends, and the customer circle will expand exponentially. This is the dream of every business owner.

Conversational hypnosis is not a hard skill to master. It only requires practice, and it can be easily learned through your music player or car CD. However, only listening without applying what you learn is not going to get you anywhere. Just like everything in life, you have to try what you want to achieve.

To start mastering conversational hypnosis, get The Power of Conversational Hypnosis, the most in-depth course for conversational hypnosis, made by a master hypnotist.

More hypnosis information is available at http://Great-Info-Products.com/Hypnosis/index.html
Index
Watchthementalist
Index
Index
Index
Index
Index
Index
Index
Index

Warhammer Online - General Information and Review

Leveling: There are 3 different ways to level.

There is PvE experience which allows you to gain PvE levels. There are 40 PvE levels. You will find that it is quite easy, compared to other MMO's, to level in PvE, this is intentional. There is a HUGE emphasis on making the game "fun". PvE levels allow you to "buy"(Really cheap, there is no big coin need to buy PvE skills) skills and abilities. There is also special PvE skills and abilities that you gain depending upon which tree you pick to specialize in.(Each class has three different trees to specialize in) Always buy all PvE skills/abilities that you can, since there is no hurt in having them.

There is PvP experience, which allows you to gain PvP levels, this is called "Renown". There is a total of 80 PvP levels. PvP levels allow you to gain a few new skills, abilities, or attributes, depending on where you place your Renown points. You get 1 point for each Renown level you gain.

There is also "Influence" experience. This is separate from Renown and PvE experience. This is limited to a PQ area.(PQ = Public Quest) When you first start out there is only one PQ in the very lobie area. As you move up in levels and explore more of the world you will find other PQ's. There are three levels for each PQ, each level allows you to pick an item that you want. In the lobie areas the items are not that big of a deal, however after you hit about level ten, you will start finding PQ's that reward blue items, these are very decent! When you take part in a PQ, after the PQ is complete there will be a dice roll for loot. The more you contribute to the PQ the larger bonus you get to the roll. The top players get extra loot that they make pick from the end PQ treasure chest. Understand that after you hit the third level you get to pick a level one item, a level two item, and a level three item. If you only complete the first level, you can only pick a level one item from the NPC. After you reach level three of a PQ there is really NO reason to continue doing that areas PQ(s), as it is time to move on.(You cannot keep getting items after you pick that level's item)

Crafting: There was very limited crafting content in the closed/open/preview gameplay. This was also intentional in that the Devs did not want to give a lot of game info away. The crafting that was in the game is very easy and self explained in the "Tomb of Knowledge" think of this as an in game encyclopedia. I will give one example of a crafting skill. You can grow your own "seeds"(These drop from mobs, and some can also be purchased from merchants to get you started) You get a separate window to grow your own seeds. To start out with, you can only grow one seed at a time, however later, with levels, you will be able to grow up to four at a time. You can add water, a nutrient, and soil to give your plant a better chance to grow into something else besides a weed. After your plant grows you "loot" it. From this you can buy a vial and mix a potion. There are quite a few different potions you can make. There is even a tutorial to show you how to do this. This is not a long drawn out process, to just grow a seed takes a very short time.(Adding water, soil or a nutrient shortens this time.)

Gear: No you are not going to spends hours camping ANYTHING! Gear drops are common and you do get some trash loot that will give you more then enough coin to buy levels and items. Since you do NOT have to PvE at all in the game there are "Renown Gear Merchants". These merchants have average to awesome gear that you can buy pretty cheap, however you have to be a certain PvE level AND a certain PvP level to get them. The better the gear, the higher the level needed to buy the items. They do scale very well to your current level. With no problem at all I was fully geared out in "greens" by level ten on all classes. You will also be able to loot off enemy dead players in PvP! This does NOT come out of their inventory, however the vast majority of items are greens or better. So ALWAYS loot in PvP if you see the "sparklies" around an enemy dead player.

Areas: What if you are an orc and have a dark elf friend? From the very start of the game it will take you less then ten minutes to go join a friend in another area.(You need a very small amount of coin to "buy" a ride.) All the quests in all the areas can be completed by any race/class. Also do note that travel time is not some 30 minute trip on a flying mount, it takes about twelve seconds to fly to a new area.

I know that all this info sounds a little overwhelming, however you will catch on very quickly and you will see that the game was really designed to be FUN. Like PvP, then go PvP'ing. Tired of PvP'ing, go to a PQ and get some phat loot. Tired of PvP and PQ's go do PvE quests. Tired of PvP, PQ's and PvE questing, go do some crafting. So far in WAR I have never become bored, as I can always find something to do that is fun, and I say this having leveled over 160 times!

Warhammer online Information, Tips, Gold Strategies, Macro Guides, Exploits, cheats and more....all in a dynamic online eZine.

When you can have this, why settle for a traditional printed Game Guide which is outdated by the time it reaches the shelves? With mmOverload you receive a fully dynamic strategy eZine which is updated literally hundreds of times throughout the day.

Sign up today!
View
View
Auctions
View
Auctions
View
Rss
Questions
Store
Questions

Good Things Come in Fours

I'm a college student so people often ask me, usually jokingly, if I have to pull a lot of all- nighters. I normally say 'No, not for school,' then I run away laughing. The only thing that has ever kept me up all night is Grand Theft Auto 4, nothing else is important enough for me to bring such physical and mental fatigue upon myself. Sleep easily loses its importance and I find myself playing GTA4 at 5:30 am wondering if it's even worth going to bed. Nothing a little Red Bull can't fix, right?

I have to admit, I wasn't as excited for GTA4 as I was for GTA3 and Vice City; not so much for San Andreas. After playing the first three (the ones on Playstation 1 don't count), I was ready for a change; luckily, GTA4 gave that change and playing it made it seem like I was playing GTA and a sandbox game for the first time. Everything had a novel feel to it, like stealing a car, accidentally running over a pedestrian, or shooting the propane tank of a hotdog stand.

I'm really glad Rockstar North decided to build the city up and not out, focusing on creating amazing detail in a smaller area that spreading out the land to include 15 minute drives on highways like there were in San Andreas. A smaller area with beautiful graphics is much more fun to explore than a large bland area. I'm all for making realistic games, but it becomes too tedious when in San Andreas the player has to manage the character's weight and girlfriends who live 20 minutes away in real time.

Everything about GTA4 is fun, the missions can be challenging at times, but not to the point of throwing your controller in anger. One aspect I really liked about the game is that at certain points in the story you have to decide who lives and who dies, and the choice you make creates consequences that affect the way people treat you. It creates more depth to the game and increases the replay value for those eager to take the alternate path the second time around.

My one and only complaint about the game would probably be the movement of the protagonist in the game, Nikko. The controls feel a little sluggish and turning Nikko around 180 degrees can be a pain, especially in a gun fight.

Enough writing, if you haven't played GTA4 yet, pick up a copy now and enjoy the best game in the series so far for the XBOX 360 and PS3, you won't regret it.

My name is Brendan and I am a senior at the University at North Carolina at Chapel Hill. I'm not actually a huge video game player so I thought it may be a mistake considering the very high cost of the system (over $180 including tax.) But I am a huge music lover and it looked like fun, so I splurged on it. I'm glad I did. It is easily the best video game ever.

Forget Guitar Hero

I already had Guitar Hero for my Wii. I had played it quite a bit at first but quickly grew bored of it as while it can be fun at first - after awhile it seems pointless as it doesn't have anything to do with playing a real guitar.

Drumming & Singing

For me what makes Wii Rock Band so awesome is the drumming and singing portions. Sure the guitar part can be amusing. But it's the drumming and singing that make it awesome. Why? Because when you become a good drummer on Wii Rock Band you actually improve your real life drumming abilities! That's because it's such a lifelike representation of what it's like to play real drums. Sure it's not exactly the same, but it's close enough for Government work (as the old saying goes.)

Similarly with the singing part of the game. If you can learn to sing a song on Rock Band at a very high level on the expert setting then you are not merely beating a video game, you are becoming a much better singer who has greatly improved their ability to sing in key. How cool is that?

CLICK HERE for more information on Wii Rock Band.

Consumer Reviews.
Videos
Thedarkknightmovie
Auctions
View
Auctions
Index
Videos
View
View
Questions
